How to Use Spirituality in Making Business Choices?

We are slowly moving out of the competitive mindset and moving into the concept of cooperation and co-creating. During the industrial age, business was conducted with the “Live and Let Die” mentality.

Everyone wanted to make it big and would do anything to get whatever they wanted out of life. This was doing anything necessary to have the upper hand, like shutting down other businesses to even hurting people to get them out of the way.

But now, within this Age of Enlightenment, we have a better understanding of the bigger purpose of our journey here on earth.

I recently started re-reading the iconic authors of the late 1800s, early 1900s. These books all had one common denominator: THINK!

These books include: ‘Think and Grow Rich’ by Napoleon Hill, ‘The Science of Getting Rich’ by Wallace D. Wattles, ‘As a Man Thinketh’ by James Ellen and ‘The Strangest Secret, by Earl Nightingale, amongst many others.

Each book starts with the premise that we should first think and let our thoughts propel us into the direction we want to go. Finding time for quiet, contemplative moments so that the “thinking stuff,” written in ‘The Science of Getting Rich,’ “can permeate and fill the space,” the space being our subconscious mind.

Hills teachings are simple. He offers a 6-step process to help get the ball rolling. Most of their focus on getting rich has little to do with doing business daily like we know it to be, with hard work and action. Their statement is based on following our intuition.

I am the first to admit that I have been a serial entrepreneur by no cause of my own. The businesses that I have owned were never in my big scheme of planning. They all happened by hap stance and me following my intuition and the messages I was receiving. I never questioned the process and just went with the flow. It so happens, things always fell into place, and I was able to make money with whatever that business idea was.

Here is the 6-step process that Napoleon Hill assures us that we are guaranteed to start seeing the riches come our way by doing.

Uncover what you genuinely desire to have and do and keep that thought at the forefront of your mind. When you feel that surge of excitement, you will know that you have found your path. The main focus here is the ‘feeling’ you get when you discover your deep desires.

Decide what your means of exchange is. What will you exchange in return for receiving your riches? What service or product will you create and offer for its monetary equivalent?

Goal setting seems to be such an easy task, yet most do not have a strategic way of setting goals and sticking to them. Knowing what you want to do is the simple part, but putting a sequence of steps to get from point A to point B can become confusing and distracting. It is vital to create a timeline of what you plan to achieve and fill in the timeline with mini-tasks to get you to the end of your intended goals.

Step # 4: BELIEVE
Believe that whatever you put in your mind to achieve, and knowing it will manifest, is extremely important in reaching your goals. Having a strong faith and belief that you are worthy of achieving anything you desire to have or do will speed up the process of you bringing it into reality.

The concept of the mastermind has been ongoing for ages. In the past, groups of wealthy men would gather behind closed doors to discuss new concepts and share ideas and insights. Napoleon Hill observed that the super-wealthy almost always joined forces by sharing their talents and knowledge within the group. These meetings created new businesses, services, and products. They all shared in the wealth distribution of the outcome of these organized meetings.

A new idea in your mind may not resonate with everyone you speak to about it. Therefore, it is imperative that you only share your ideas with people that would support you and encourage you to move ahead with it. Stay away from the naysayers. They do not understand your thought process and your passion. In most cases, they have no bad intentions. But their fear of stepping out of their own comfort zone will spill over into their opinions of your ideas. Keep your dreams and visions as close to you as possible and only share it with the people you believe will support you along your journey.

Putting this list into practice is the first step to finding your way and your purpose. On many occasions, you may feel that you have several different ideas that you would like to pursue, but you know deep down that you can only focus on just one at a time. You can only follow your path if you know what your path is.

You may feel conflicted between different projects, businesses, or ideas.
You may not be sure which one is your true path. Allow me to assist you in finding your inner-guidance-system. I will guide you in finding the right path chosen by your inner Soul to manifest in this lifetime.
