Are We Ready To Use Spirituality in Our Business Decisions?

We are slowly moving out of the competitive mindset and moving into the concept of cooperation and co-creating. During the industrial age business was conducted with the “Live and Let Die” mentality.

Everyone wanted to make it big and would do anything to get whatever they wanted out of life. This can be anything from shutting down other businesses to even hurting someone to get them out of their way.

But now, within this Age of Enlightenment, we now have an understanding of the bigger purpose of our journey here on earth.

I recently started re-reading the iconic authors of the late 1800s, early 1900s. These books all had one common denominator: Think!

‘Think and Grow Rich’ by Napoleon Hill, ‘The Science of Getting Rich’ by Wallace D. Wattles, ‘As a Man Thinketh’ by James Ellen and ‘The Strangest Secret’, by Earl Nightingale, amongst many others.

Each one of these books start with the premise that we should first think and let our thoughts propel us into the direction we want to go. Finding time for quiet contemplative moments so that the “thinking stuff”, written in ‘The Science of Getting Rich’, “can permeate and fill the space”, the space being our subconscious mind.

Hills teachings are simple. He offers a 6-step process to help get the ball rolling. Most of their focus on getting rich has little to do with actually doing business on a daily basis like we know it to be, with hard work and action.

I am the first to admit that I have been a serial entrepreneur by no cause of myself. The businesses that I have owned were never in my big scheme of planning. They all happened by hap stance and me following my intuition and the messages I was receiving. I never questioned the process, and just went with the flow, and it so happens, things always fell into place and I always made excellent money with whatever that business idea was.

Here are the 6-step processes that Napoleon Hill assures us that by doing it we are guaranteed to start seeing the riches come our way.

Uncover what you truly desire to have and do and keep that thought at the forefront of your mind. The main focus here is the ‘feeling’ you will have when your desires are manifested.

Decide what your means of exchange is. What will you exchange in return for receiving your riches? What service or product will you create an offer for the monetary value you wish to have in your possession?

Goal setting seems to be such an easy task, yet most of us do not have a strategic way of setting goals and sticking to them. Knowing what you want to do is the simple part, but putting a sequence of steps to get from point A to point B can become confusing and distracting. It is important to create a timeline of what you plan to achieve and fill in the timeline with mini-tasks that will get you to the end of your planned goals.

Step # 4:  BELIEVE

Believe that whatever you put in your mind to achieve, and knowing it will manifest, is extremely important in getting and reaching your goals. Having a strong faith and belief that you are worthy of achieving anything you desire to have or do, will speed up the process of you manifesting it.

The concept of the mastermind has been going on for ages. In the past, groups of men would gather in closed rooms and discuss new concepts and share ideas and insights. Napoleon Hill observed that the super-wealthy almost always co-created, joined forces, and shared their talents and knowledge with each other. These meetings created new businesses, services and products, and they all shared in the wealth distribution of the outcome of these organized meetings.

A new idea in your mind may not resonate with everyone you speak to about it. Therefore, it is important that you only share your ideas with people that would support you and encourage you to move ahead with it. Stay away from the naysayers. They do not understand your thought process and your passion. In most cases they mean no bad intentions, but their own fear of stepping out of their own comfort box, will spill over into their opinions of your ideas. Keep your dreams and ideas, as close to you as possible and only share it with the people you believe will support you along your journey.
